Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall strategy of the BTS recruitment, compensation and talent management teams. The incumbent will work collaboratively with managers (internal and external) and other HR partners to support and execute programs that meet the needs and objectives of the business. The Human Resources Manager will lead and develop a team of HR professionals and implement strong leadership strategies that will generate exceptional results for the business. To succeed in this role, the candidate must be a strong and experienced leader with excellent project management skills, the ability to lead a team to success and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to manage recruiting, compensation and talent management teams.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and customer service to departments and senior management on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all HR policies/procedures and implement policy updates as a core committee.
  • Support change management with business stakeholders to drive positive change in the HR space.
  • Support additional HR projects and programs as required.
  • Lead, coach and develop HR teams to enhance capabilities, drive best practices and demonstrate a passion for creating a culture defined by service excellence.

Critical Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Bilingualism required: French, English.
  • High level of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); knowledge of SAP an asset.
  • Project management and leadership skills, success in supporting the implementation of organization-wide initiatives and change management.
  • Results-oriented and team-oriented leadership skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise good independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data mining, reporting and analysis with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Possess excellent time management, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at various levels of leadership.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Business acumen and strategic focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and client relationships and work with a diverse client base.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
  • CRHA certification.
  • Experience using an HRIS system, such as SAP.
  • Previous experience managing direct reports is an asset.
