Job Overview
Reporting to the WFM Manager – Business Analytics, the WFM Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the Bell Technical Solutions management team to work with a wide variety of stakeholders in order to deliver accurate and timely information, develop resources to evaluate process and behaviours of unionized and non-unionized employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Deep Data Exploration & Statistical Analysis: Conduct in-depth statistical analysis on large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to losses and load volume.
- Machine Learning Model Development: Design, develop, and implement machine learning models (e.g., predictive models, classification, anomaly detection) to forecast, explain, or mitigate losses and load volume fluctuations.
- Feature Engineering & Data Preparation: Extract, transform, and engineer relevant features from raw data sources to optimize model performance. Ensure data quality and integrity for ML workflows using Python.
- Trend and Behaviour Identification: Proactively identify and flag significant trends and behaviours within the data that impact losses and load volume, providing actionable insights derived from statistical modelling and ML.
- Model Evaluation & Optimization: Rigorously evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics, iterate on model design, and optimize for accuracy, efficiency, and interpretability within the project scope.
- Business Impact Analysis & Communication: Quantify and communicate the business impact of identified key drivers (e.g., overtime, idle time, loan processing, service provisioning timelines) through comprehensive analysis and clear presentations.
- Influence & Adoption Strategy: Champion the adoption of recommended optimal models and data-driven strategies by influencing business stakeholders and presenting compelling evidence for change.
- Technical Documentation: Document ML models, algorithms, data pipelines, analysis methodologies, and key findings comprehensively.
- Insight Communication: Translate complex analytical and ML findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate with relevant teams (e.g., Quebec/Ontario counterparts) to ensure alignment on data-driven strategies and share insights related to losses and load volume.
Critical Qualifications
- Proven experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with extensive experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization techniques and libraries in Python (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) or tools like Tableau/Power BI for communicating ML insights.
- Demonstrated ability to perform deep data dives, identify key drivers of business outcomes (losses, load volume), and formulate data-driven recommendations using statistical methods.
- Solid understanding of data relationships, business rules, and workflows relevant to operational analytics and ML applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen ability to identify patterns and correlations in large datasets.
- Ability to manage multiple project tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams and influence decision-making.
- Degree, diploma, or certification in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Maintaining professional relationships with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada is critical to this position.
