Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Will work directly with commercial producers to plan, shoot and edit commercials for television broadcast and digital platforms
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Will need to contribute and collaborate in achieving artistic and creative excellence for the purpose of meeting client expectations
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of camera, sound and lighting equipment for the EFP shooting of raw footage under Producer’s direction
  • Ingest and edit raw footage, insert music, record voice overs, graphics, close captioning and sound effects to create effective commercials that will meet producers’ specifications
  • Set up and feed of commercials for air via Gateway through internal on air ingesting system

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Post-secondary education with specialized broadcast training diploma in television production or equivalent post-secondary education, and should have worked in the television industry for a least 2 years
  • Must have experience and knowledge in the use of Commercial Editing software such as Avid, Adobe CS (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects), as well as standard office computer programs and procedures
  • Must have full knowledge of commercial EFP camera equipment (video and audio) with full creative, artistic and technical capabilities in the shooting, lighting in the field and on set
  • Must have good communication skills with clients, producers and sales and be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic to add and achieve creative excellence while working toward a specific vision
  • Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record
