Summary

The Capital Centre of Excellence (COE) is dedicated to centralizing capital management across Bell Canada. This role is specific to supporting the Bell Media capital portfolio. The Bell Media capital primes are an engaging lively group responsible for the success of the Bell Media capital portfolio of projects. This role’s main function is to support these capital primes in successfully delivering capital projects. You will play a key role on the team by supporting the initial set up of projects, assisting in ensuring actuals are properly being tracked, consolidating forecasts, and analysing results. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the master Bell Media capital tracking file using Alteryx, SAP, and Excel. This critical file provides capital primes with essential data for tracking and analyzing project actuals, budgets, forecasts, and detailed project information.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of the work breakdown structures (WBS) for capital projects, from initiation through to asset creation and closure.
  • Execute comprehensive month-end closing procedures, including timely and accurate preparation and processing of journal entries, updating and distributing capital tracking files, managing commitment reporting, and vendor invoicing inquiries. 
  • Lead the creation and distribution of quarterly forecast files, consolidating inputs via Alteryx workflows. Collaborate with primes to refine forecasts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Fulfill diverse reporting requirements, including CRTC reporting, and ad-hoc Tax requests.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance and optimize existing processes and reports, driving continuous improvement. 

Critical Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel and SAP.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx and PEATS is a strong asset; a proactive approach to learning new technologies is highly valued.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to identify, propose, and implement effective solutions to operational challenges.
  • A forward-thinking attitude, eager to drive change and continuously improve existing processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and support for capital primes.
  • Demonstrates a foundational understanding of AI and its applications; stays curious, recognizes ethical implications, and uses AI-enabled tools to enhance everyday work.  

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
