Name and description of the hiring department

The continued growth and success of the Bell Canada Converged Infrastructure Services delivery team in the marketplace is directly attributed to the expertise and the professionalism of its staff, the trust and confidence of its technology partners and the unrelenting demands it places on itself in pursuit of that most important determining attribute - Customer Satisfaction. Our Professional Services team has an immediate need for a Technical Analyst.

 

The successful candidate will mainly be responsible for leading teams through large, complex Infrastructure engagements in medium to large enterprise environments. Drawing on both technical and business integration acumen, there is the opportunity to interact with and manage relations between both clients and Bell Canada staff.

This role requires the design, architecture and deployment of projects with project teams of varying sizes. In addition, there is the opportunity to mentor other technical resources as well as learn project management.

 

Role

The successful applicant will share with the other members of the team of his experience as technical Analyst - Service of convergent infrastructure and its working knowledge in the following domains:

  • Technology infrastructure operations including
  • Storage Solutions
  • Backup Solutions
  • Hyperconvergence Solutions
  • Virtualization of environment
  • Telecommunication related Solutions

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies

  • College or University Diploma
  • 5+ years of successful systems/storage SAN and/or VMware design and integration experience within large corporate server environments
  • Provide delivery support for infrastructure solutions from initiation through to completion.
  • Ability to document problems and solutions that address technical issues
  • Take responsibility for the development of “as built” documentation, detailed test plans and final infrastructure documentation
  • Technical mentoring and coaching to other technical team members
  • Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate technical points to others at the technical, user and management levels
  • Strong Project methodology and the ability to work closely with project managers
  • Superb customer relations and the ability to interact with customers at all levels
  • Relevant certifications in connection with operating infrastructure
  • Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating System 2012/2016
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating System (RHEL)
  • Experience in management of complex computing environments distributed on several sites
  • Experience in management of environments in high availability
  • Strong capacity to draft some technical documentation
