Position: Radio Traffic Coordinator

Location: Kelowna, British Columbia

Bell Media is looking for an experienced administrative professional to join us as our Radio Traffic Coordinator.   

 

Not sure what a Radio Traffic Coordinator does? In a nutshell you are responsible for scheduling the daily traffic logs (commercial copy) into the broadcast computer system, Wide Orbit, to ensure programming and commercial breaks start and stop at the correct time. 

 

You will also be supporting our sales team to coordinate sales activities. We would love it if you have direct previous experience, but we also believe that the right person with a strong administrative background and high attention to detail can be successful in this role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Entering and Process broadcast orders
  • Assist in training new sales executives in our traffic software program, Wide Orbit
  • Ensure that the on air log is completed on a daily basis according to the existing policies
  • Close the reconciliation by processing the information between the on-air broadcast report and those registered on the log
  • Respond to the needs of the sales teams (local, national and promotional)
  • Balance the commercial inventory on weekly basis
  • Be accountable for the impartation of the on-air file
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant or transferable administrative experience
  • High school diploma required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Prior experience with Wide Orbit traffic software is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, while functioning in a team environment
  • Ability to calmly manage a deadline driven environment with a full, busy workload
  • Proven ability to multitask with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong data entry skills

 

Work condition:

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Status of employment: Regular Full Time

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
