Name and description of the hiring department:

The FTTH Deployment department is accountable for planning and deploying Bell’s extensive fiber network serving millions of households and businesses as well as leading the Expertech team.


Job Duties / Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:

  • Establish the critical path and manage all logistical requirements including material for multiple technologies
  • Analyze requirements based on RFW/WBS received
  • Obtain all assignments from various groups, databases and field notes to prepare a RFW
  • Coordinate issuance of equipment required
  • Keep SAP Milestones current through the various installation phases.
  • Manage the budget of projects to ensure there is no budget over runs to optimize financial integrity.
  • Seek approval for budget revisions.
  • On an ongoing basis, respond to general inquiries from various departments.


Essential Qualifications / competencies:

  • Intermediate MS Excel and Word
  • Self motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Strong team focus and ability to work well with immediate and extended team
  • Able to coordinate and negotiate effectively with various departments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities due to frequent work interruptions
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written
  • Works well under pressure and can carry many projects simultaneously meeting deadlines
  • Must be technically adaptable to understanding all technologies, legacy to leading edge
  • Ability to cope in a fast paced, stressful environment
  • Ability to order equipment from Technical documentation


Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of all Access functions (NMA, PAO, Draw etc.)
  • Strong Access Network design experience
  • Experienced and proficient working in SAP, NetworkX, iPairs and other network related systems
  • Knowledge of HSA (high speed access)

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
