Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Senior Technical Architect II to join our team. This individual will be a key leader in shaping our technology vision and driving the design and implementation of complex, large-scale solutions. The Senior Technical Architect II will be responsible for providing expert architectural guidance, ensuring alignment with business goals, and mentoring other architects. This role requires a deep understanding of modern technologies, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve future‑state enterprise and solution architectures aligned to business strategy and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that supports long‑term organizational goals.
- Lead the design of solution architectures for complex, large‑scale initiatives, ensuring appropriate scalability, performance, and resilience.
- Guide technology selection and architectural patterns to support solution objectives and lifecycle needs.
- Oversee solution integration and deployment, providing architectural oversight throughout delivery and implementation.
- Establish and promote architectural standards, principles, and best practices across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of existing platforms and systems.
- Provide architectural leadership to the solution architecture community, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach architects, supporting skill development and professional growth.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, delivery teams, and operations to ensure alignment and successful execution.
- Communicate architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in technical or solution architecture roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex, large‑scale systems.
- Advanced expertise in modern software architecture practices, including cloud‑native design, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
- Strong experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), supported by relevant professional certification.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies and practices, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Proven ability to design and document complex architectures using clear, consumable artifacts (e.g., diagrams, standards, decision records).
- Advanced knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management principles, including experience with secure‑by‑design architectures.
- Experience applying Dev-Sec-Ops practices, automation, and quality controls within large‑scale delivery environments
- Demonstrated leadership and influence, with the ability to guide technical direction, build trust, and drive alignment across teams.
