The Network team plans, designs, builds, and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar broadcast, fiber, LTE, and security networks. Successful candidates joining the Network team will be given the opportunity to get hands on experience using next generation technology and receive ongoing technical and leadership development training.

 

Role:

As Specialist, Network Architecture and Engineering, you will be responsible for technology development, design and management of wireless and radio technologies. We currently have several positions available in this field. By applying on this position, you will automatically be considered for all available positions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and design network architectures
  • Deploy and test new solutions using the Agile/Scrum approach
  • Develop tools (scripts/programs) for automating routine activities
  • Provide support on end-to-end problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Partner with equipment vendors on technology evaluations and/or joint service development programs

 

Critical Competencies:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (Ansible/Puppet)
  • Experience developing web based applications (JAVA, XML, HTML and REST) or scripting (Python, Shell)
  • Knowledge of one of the following fields:

            o Networking systems (TCP/IP, routing protocols and principles)

            o Wireless and optical access networks

            o Core network architectures and telecom technologies

            o Radio communications

  • CCNA Certification considered desirable
