Summary
Bell Business Markets is seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director, Product Management – Networks to lead a core connectivity portfolio that powers business operations across Canada. This role oversees both foundational network services and next generation software defined solutions, balancing portfolio optimization with innovation and growth. You will lead a high performing team, own full P&L accountability, and guide customers through their network modernization journeys—from traditional WAN technologies to modern, software defined architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multiyear strategy to optimize mature network services while driving adoption of next generation solutions such as SDWAN.
- Lead end to end product lifecycle activities including performance management, pricing optimization, product evolution, and end of life planning.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of product managers, fostering a culture of commercial discipline, customer focus, and operational excellence.
- Hold full P&L responsibility for the Networks portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to deliver strong go to market execution and ensure sales teams can position the right solutions for the right customer needs.
- Develop and oversee modernization programs that transition customers from legacy services to software defined networking solutions, ensuring retention and a seamless migration experience.
- Act as the central hub for the Networks portfolio by building strong relationships with Network Operations, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure portfolio profitability and service reliability.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on enterprise networking trends, with a strong focus on the shift from traditional WAN to modern, software defined architectures.
Critical Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or business development within telecommunications or technology.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing product management teams.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including MPLS, Ethernet, Business Internet, SDWAN, and emerging cloud based/network- as- a- service models.
- Proven ability to manage mature portfolios, including pricing strategy, profitability optimization, lifecycle management, and customer migration.
- Strong P&L management skills with experience in financial forecasting, analytics, and business case development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization.
- Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
