Title:               Event Marketing Specialist, Bell Mobility

Location:       5099 Creekbank Rd. Mississauga. ON

Salary:           Commensurate with qualifications and experience


The Event Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing event marketing strategies for various Business events including trade shows, seminars, our annual sales conference and other events as required. You will build and execute marketing campaigns that create awareness and drive traffic for events both online and offline. This position will play a key role in maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Business Sales team nationally.


Bell is looking for a self-starting, modern marketer that can hit the ground running; a creative thinker with an appetite for learning, and someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and work end to end on event executions. The team needs a hands-on marketer who isn’t afraid to wear many hats.


What we are looking for:

  • 1+ years of experience in coordinating and executing different event types: onsite and digital (trade shows, conferences, client engagement)
  • Knowledge of lead management and marketing automation platforms – Salesforce.com and Pardot.com
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and work independently
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, setting timelines, and driving the delivery of work on time and budget
  • Ability to create plans, strategies and schedules to ensure all event logistics are properly budgeted, estimated, and executed
  • Solid Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills, and an ability to use both mediums to tell concise, actionable stories to all levels of the organization (channel teams and executives)
  • Creative thinking and an energetic and positive approach to facing challenges
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Communications or relevant experience
  • Experience in telecom, technology, digital transformation or Internet of Things is an asset
  • Knowledge in industries such as transportation, construction, manufacturing, property management, supply chains, utilities, oil & gas or public safety (fire, police, EMS) is an asset



  • Market research: digital transformation trends, target audience buying needs, event technology trends, industry speakers
  • Lead pre, during, and post-event sales channel calls
  • Learn and use the Salesforce.com and Pardot reporting tools to create event insights
  • Track, measure and report event performance and share results
  • Evangelize the use of tools to enable proper measurement of event effectiveness (including satisfaction, ROI, and lead volume)
  • Support the development and design marketing program communications; ie, evites, presentation outlines, campaign briefs, surveys, marketing material
  • Development and delivery of event plans, assets, tactics and execution
  • Select venues, source catering, coordinate event registration pages creation and email invites for different events
  • Communicate effectively and regularly to ensure internal team alignment


Success Criteria:

  • Ability to draft and present marketing strategy within PowerPoint to executives
  • Events executed on time, within budget and with end to end reporting and insights
  • Decrease the volume of events that are not connecting to prospects nurture programs or don’t work with the overall marketing strategy
  • Increase YoY attendance and funnel activity
  • Maximize satisfaction survey return rate and level of satisfaction


Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within Canada 40% of the time
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, comfortable driving in other cities and able to rent cars (with corporate card provided)
  • Working evenings and weekends during peak periods of event execution

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
