Job Duties/Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Investment, the Manager, Community Investment will participate in the development and execution of important projects related to Bell’s cause and charitable initiatives. Specific responsibilities will also include fostering the relationships between Bell and our external partners as well as within Bell. The Manager will also participate in annual awareness campaigns both internally and externally.

 

Primary Responsibilities – Community Investment:

  • Work closely with the Bell Community Investment team to organize, plan and execute components of Bell’s cause and charitable initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external participation in awareness campaigns and events.
  • Monitor project results and prepare reports for the senior leadership team.
  • Assume other fund-related management responsibilities and ensure appropriate administration of the process.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual reports and recognition opportunities.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • With Community Affairs team members in the GTA, identify and leverage community events and initiatives.
  • Assist and help organize elements of Bell’s participation in Community sponsored events (project management, planning, implementation, leveraging, communications, reporting, post-event analysis etc.)
  • Prepare presentations
  • A strong emphasis will be put on successful measurement, management and execution within approved time frames, scope and budget.

 

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Undergraduate Degree in marketing, communications or business
  • Detail-oriented and very strong communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in community relations and/or major event planning and management
  • Communications and/or public relations experience, understanding how to publicize and best leverage community engagement
  • Excellent team and relationship management skills in collaborating with extended team members, external partners, suppliers, etc.
  • Customer focused
  • Thrive in an environment of constant change
  • Proven capability of managing budgets
  • Advanced knowledge of social media tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidates must also be prepared to work EXTENDED HOURS (e.g. Additional Hours on WEEKENDS/EVENINGS) to accommodate special community events

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
