The Bell Mobility – Procurement & Supply Chain Team is seeking a motivated manager, with proven planning, reporting and analytical skills. Reporting to the Senior Manager Supply Chain. This individual is to support the business unit by providing planning, timely and insightful reporting and detailed analysis of all inventory within Bell’s distribution network (DC and Channels). The successful candidate will also assist in the effective management of merchandise flow, ensure timeliness and productivity of the inventory and manage slow moving, obsolete and end-of-life inventory, with the objective of increasing unit and dollar inventory turns.
To succeed in this role, you will need to work as a team to keep our supply chain ahead of the curve by developing keen and sound analysis and create actionable proposals to address inventory planning/management gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage on the design and execution of report analytics and configuration of our Automated CPFR Platform in order to leverage the potential of inventory/supply chain data.
- Provide timely, insightful and eloquent reporting and analysis on inventory.
- Develop standardized reporting for the business units using up-to date visualization tools.
- Assist in the continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
- Provide weekly and monthly updates on project status to both project team and executive board members.
- Plan inventory effectively and consistently to accomplish Bell’s service and working capital objectives (total inventory value).
- Own, maintain, improve and execute the CPFR process (Collaborative, Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) for the assigned portfolio within any given category.
- Monitor Inventory levels for all product categories and provide recommendations to assist in the development of action plans.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, vendors and cross functional teams to establish product assortments, purchase quantities and sales forecast.
- Maintain an open and effective line of communication with channel primes (on a weekly basis) in order to support Ad-hoc inventory needs and provide visibility on the supply outlook to the sales organization.
- Manage a large portfolio of products through a multiple-week time line to satisfy the needs of several diverse sell-thru programs.
- Management and accountability of the following KPIs: Available-to-Promise, inventory turns, attach rates and obsolescence value.
- Lead inventory review meetings with directors on sales and operations.
- Assist in the development of action plans to deal with aged and slow selling inventory.
- Manage business relationships with suppliers/vendors and customers (internal & external).
Critical Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in inventory planning and/or Telecom/Technology products industry
- Proven ability in quantitative analysis, data manipulation and data visualization techniques and tools.
- Proficient with Excel, Access; Microstrategy, SAP & Tableau (data visualization tools) skills are a key asset.
- Very strong business acumen
- Excellent knowledge of the telecom industry products (preferred)
- Highly motivated, driven by success and desire to work in a challenging environment
- Ability to develop proactive relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
