The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology, under the Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile brands.
The Products and Services Development team is seeking a dynamic individual to develop the product roadmap, execute on new product launches to drive growth and manage service health for the Consumer IoT portfolio of connected products including smartwatches, aftermarket connected car and more.


In a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, the successful candidate needs to be flexible, have strong time management skills and be capable of balancing many projects simultaneously. They are strategic, detail oriented and analytical, with the ability to think outside the box. This high performing individual needs to have demonstrated success with influencing and delivering results with cross-functional teams and the ability to identify and champion growth opportunities as well as focus on key strategic initiatives that will move the business forward quickly, with a focus on establishing and growing the Consumer IoT portfolio plus revenues and overall results.

The Role:
This is a challenging opportunity for a customer-focused product leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering new product introductions in the telecommunications industry.  You will partner with other like minded high energy professionals that are passionate about contributing to Bell’s goal to be recognized by customers as Canada’s leading Communications Company. 
Reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager, Consumer IoT, the Product Manager is an integral component in driving Bell Mobility’s growth by managing the services and partners that help Bell achieve overall wireless data objectives.  You will be responsible for defining, managing and launching new consumer IoT connected products, services and enablement platforms.
Performing this role involves experience in spearheading all product development and management activities including managing cross functional teams to develop product requirements, concept design and testing of new services; preparing business case justification for new product investments; managing stakeholders; and identifying launch strategies with the customer experience being paramount for all activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and manage the product strategy and roadmap, taking into account market conditions, evolving customer needs and competitive offerings to deliver superior connected products and services to market
  • Communicate product strategy to key stakeholders and executives
  • Define, develop, manage and execute product launches with all functional groups (i.e. engineering, marketing, billing, customer care, legal/regulatory, and sales) to accelerate wireless 
  • Work closely with integrators, vendors and internal teams to deploy and support our products 
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional product teams to deliver customer-focused services with execution excellence
  • Create product requirements documents and business cases for new products and enablement platforms
  • Manage resolution of project and development issues 
  • Manage service health, establish and achieve key performance indicators for the products and overall portfolio

 

Experience / Core Competencies: 

  • 3 – 5 years of practical experience in product management and development.  Experience in wireless or high tech industries preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively and interact professionally with multi-disciplinary teams, executives, suppliers and clients and be comfortable with presenting to large groups and various audiences
  • Demonstrated strategy development skills 
  • Able to lead teams and guide them to work effectively towards objectives 
  • Technically inclined with an interest and ability to understand new mobile technology 
  • Motivated and self-disciplined and comfortable working with minimal supervision 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written) with the ability to get things done by influence
  • Strong analytical skills in order to be able to interpret data, generate insight and action and provide recommendations based on results and making decisions
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
