Summary
As Senior Manager, Channel Compensation, you will energize and lead a high-performing team to drive compensation strategy, governance, and analytics for our retail sales channels. Reporting to the Director, Channel Compensation, you are a strategic partner to sales leadership, ensuring compensation initiatives align with business goals and budget targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Compensation Strategy: Shape and execute compensation plans for internal and external retail channels, ensuring alignment with sales targets and budget constraints.
- Consult Senior Leadership: Provide expert guidance and actionable recommendations on all aspects of channel compensation, responding to both planned and ad hoc requests.
- Design & Analyze Plans: Oversee the creation, management, and post-mortem analysis of compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and rewards.
- Financial Modeling: Support finance teams with predictive models for compensation cash flows, budgets, forecasts, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive new initiatives, manage complex operational and financial discussions, and mitigate process risks through collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
- Project Management: Lead compensation-related projects, ensuring timely analysis, deployment, and stakeholder engagement.
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years designing compensation plans, data modeling, and analysis
- 3+ years leading teams, setting budgets, forecasting, and KPI reporting
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAS)
- Contract management and legal framework experience
- Track record in process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced financial and reporting expertise
- Proven team leadership and business case development
- Strong data mining and financial modeling skills
- Mastery of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation delivery
- Complex problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Self-motivated, independent achiever
- Exceptional communication in fast-paced environments
- Ability to translate data into strategic business recommendations
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
