Summary

This role provides independent, risk‑based assurance to Senior Management and the Audit Committee by evaluating whether Bell’s governance, risk, and control frameworks, particularly across technology, regulatory, cybersecurity, and data/AI domains are appropriately designed and operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or partner with other auditor team members to plan, execute, and complete audit assignments, with particular emphasis on technology, regulatory and cybersecurity
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of technology, regulatory, and security controls using a risk‑based approach, and clearly articulate risks, control gaps, root causes, and potential business, operational, regulatory, and reputational impacts
  • Collaborate with management to ensure remediation action plans are practical, risk‑appropriate, and sustainable
  • Prepare concise, insightful audit reports and executive summaries that clearly communicate key themes, trends, and enterprise‑level risk implications to Senior Management and the Audit Committee
  • Stay current on emerging technology, cybersecurity threats, regulatory developments, industry changes, and leading audit and security practices

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree(s) in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CEH and/or platform specific certifications
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Technology and Cybersecurity including hands-on working knowledge (candidates with less than 10 years of experience may be considered for the Manager role)
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape, including ransomware, insider threats, third‑party risk, cloud and AI risks, and emerging attack techniques
  • Solid knowledge of technology and cybersecurity controls across networks, systems, applications, cloud and hybrid environments, and data and AI platforms
  • Familiarity with leading frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO, COBIT, OWASP, SANS, ENISA, MITRE ATT&CK, and CSA Cloud Controls Matrix (CCM)
  • Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI, including the ability to assess AI‑related risks across data quality, governance, security, privacy, and ethical considerations
  • Awareness of how AI and advanced analytics are used in cybersecurity and audit activities
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risks and evaluate control design and operating effectiveness using a risk‑based approach

  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders with or without formal authority
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business and risk‑based insights
  • Collaborative and customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
  • Innovative, intellectually curious and committed to continuous learning
  • Comfortable leveraging productivity technology, including AI, responsibly to enhance audit quality and efficiency
  • Sound professional judgment and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting due diligence activities and special investigations is an asset

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
