Work to establish and maintain an integrated, business strategy driven architecture program to facilitate sustainable client business transformation. Develops a framework of Enterprise Architecture standards, guidelines, methods, models and tools to align technology implementation corporately.


Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Develops, designs and implements functional policies and programs that make major changes in overall business performance based on long-term needs. Contributes to the continuous improvement of divisional performance through analysis and the development and implementation of sound management practices and procedures, provides direction and guidance, processes and tools to increase efficiencies and improve effectiveness of the services provided by this team
  • Provides assistance in strategic planning for all of Bell to ensure collaboration in cost sharing and service improvement and ensures IT investment priorities are aligned with corporate architecture direction and priorities and with industry best practices
  • Provides leadership for establishing the overall IT Strategy for the Company, setting all IT policies, standards, and oversees the development and evolution of the Enterprise Architecture program/designs
  • Provides a Company-wide IT framework of strategies, policies, standards, and architecture designs to manage risks that ensures IT is resources resilience, business continuity/disaster recovery, regulatory compliance and vulnerability management
  • Leads the development of technology standards, the exploration of technologies for service innovation and business support and the establishment of strategies to implement enterprise architecture model
  • Acts as a partner for technology innovation research with the various teams
  • Ensures the development, sustainment and provision of an enterprise framework of strategies, policies, standards, guidelines, processes, best practices, methods and key tools for key IT architecture domains including business, , application solutions, information, technology infrastructure and emerging architectural practice areas like service-oriented architecture
  • Ensures the development of a disciplined, consistent means for managing business information enabled through information architecture governance and technology build capability
  • Provides leadership and strategic advice to the Corporation regarding the use of information technology in the management of information,big data,  data repositories, data standards, data integration, data movement methods
  • Provides support to the CIO, IT VPs, and Business leaders


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in business, or computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive and demonstrated senior level IT Architecture experience, coupled with Enterprise Architecture experience
  • Broad knowledge of business process including disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EA frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence at all levels to obtain consensus
  • Demonstrated ability to produce effective strategies and design principles
  • Proven ability to think laterally and constructively question established process
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
  • Accuracy, professionalism and discretion are critical competencies
  • Ability to work well under pressure and on tight timelines while efficiently balancing priorities
  • Ability to identify and describe the relationship between artefacts
  • Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Experience in Bell IT applications would be considered an asset
  • Certification in project management, enterprise architecture and/or strategic management would be considered assets
  • Ability to travel


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
