Name and description of hiring department:

The successful candidate is responsible to carry out activities supporting the collection teams and external collection agencies.


The agent is accountable for a variety of back office tasks, such as bill reprints, bankruptcies, manual audit lists for both residential customer as well as small/medium business customers.


Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Resolve external Collection Agency inquiries (including Adhoc requests) for Bell Residential Business Services (BRSB) and One Bill (OB) cancelled accounts
  • Resolve internal Bell team inquiries for OB and BRSB cancelled accounts 
  • Manage customer needs while working inbound and outbound calls
  • Prepare, investigate discrepancies and code all external agency invoices
  • Approve Credit Counselling requests and maintain accounts
  • Manage OB insolvencies on active and cancelled accounts
  • Manage internal workflow via dialler system (BRSB and OB)
  • Analyse active accounts to link them to cancelled accounts and take appropriate action
  • Manage cancelled accounts for a variety of reasons such as deceased, missing payments, hold requests, etc.


Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

  • MS Excel, MS Outlook intermediate
  • French, fluent in the language with no significant limitation
  • English, fluent in the language with no significant limitation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good problem resolution and decision-making skills, and priority management
  • Excellent customer contact skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed sense of autonomy, flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Must meet or exceed all aspects of current position


Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Intermediate knowledge of tools, One bill
  • Knowledge of tools and systems: BCT, NM1, SingleView, ARICS, BCRIS, MultiVu
  • Knowledge of collections


Working Condition:

  • Hours of operation  : Monday to Friday  between 8:00 and 17:00 (subject to change)
  • 37.5 hours a week

Bilingualism is required (English and French).
