Name and description of the hiring department

The Associate accounting services ensures the integrity of financial data used for statutory and internal reporting for Bell, its affiliates and subsidiaries. The Associate
obtains, produces, compiles, summarizes, analyzes and reconciles a variety of inputs to ensure that key financial information is prepared in accordance with accounting
principles, audit, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

Financial data is required to be delivered within established timelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The Associate is required to respond to queries and resolve issues through investigation and analysis as well as supporting financial tools.

Job Duties / Accountabilities

  • Analysis, validation, investigation and posting of multiple accounting transactions 
  • Processing invoices across different statutes/queries
  • Assisting with check processing
  • Execute other related tasks as requested

Essential Qualifications / Competencies

  • Data-processing aptitudes
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Analytical spirit and attentiveness to detail
  • Autonomy, initiative, creativity and ability to work within restricted timeline
  • Aptitude to effectively communicate information by telephone or written
  • Communication and building interpersonal relationships important
  • A test may be required to evaluate accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of English without any significant limitation. In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies

  • University student in Accounting
  • Knowledge of SAP system

Working Conditions

  • Work week of 37.5 hours. Possibility of work hours between 8:00AM and 5:00PM
  • Flexibility for overtime
  • Continuous work on terminal

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
