Summary
We are recruiting a Level 3 Technical Network Specialist to join a dedicated team supporting a single client, ensuring the stability of a critical multi-vendor infrastructure including Cisco, Arista, Meraki, and Palo Alto. This pivotal role requires deep technical expertise to mentor N2/NOC teams, manage vulnerabilities, and drive process automation within a DevOps and Agile framework. The ideal candidate will combine mastery of complex routing protocols with a drive to innovate through the use of Artificial Intelligence tools and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support, expert configuration, and maintenance of core network and security equipment, specifically focusing on Cisco, Arista, Meraki, F5 technologies, and Palo Alto firewalls via Panorama.
- Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for Level 2 and NOC teams, guiding the resolution of complex incidents and facilitating technical knowledge transfer.
- Manage advanced administration of DDI services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) using the EfficientIP solution, ensuring the consistency and availability of naming services.
- Actively participate in a rotating on-call schedule to guarantee 24/7 availability of the dedicated client's infrastructure, intervening rapidly on critical incidents.
- Lead vulnerability management across the network fleet by analyzing security bulletins, planning patches, and mitigating potential risks.
- Execute infrastructure changes in strict compliance with ITIL v4 standards, including comprehensive documentation, risk assessment, and post-implementation validation.
- Collaborate on network deployment projects and ensure a smooth transition to operations (Day 2 handover), ensuring documentation and monitoring are complete.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and DevOps methodologies to optimize operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of internally developed monitoring tools by proposing relevant metrics for proactive anomaly detection.
- Perform in-depth performance and network traffic analyses using packet analysis tools to diagnose bottlenecks and optimize application flows.
Critical Qualifications
- Language Requirement: Excellent command of the French language (written and spoken) is mandatory; functional knowledge of English is considered an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering combined with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a senior network engineering or operations role.
- Demonstrated expert mastery of architectures and aequipment from manufacturers Cisco (IOS/NX-OS), Arista (EOS), Meraki (Dashboard/Cloud), and F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM).
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MP-BGP), switching (VLAN, STP, vPC, VXLAN), and MPLS technologies (L3VPN, VPLS, LDP, RSVP-TE).
- Confirmed expertise in the management and configuration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls and the Panorama centralized management platform, including the creation of complex security policies.
- Solid technical competence on the EfficientIP solution for DNS and IPAM service management, as well as a fine understanding of DNS and DHCP protocols.
- Valid professional certifications at the expert or professional level such as CCNP Enterprise/Data Center, CCIE (written or lab), PCNSE (Palo Alto), or equivalent Arista certifications.
- Concrete experience working in an Agile and DevOps environment, with a marked aptitude for automation (Python, Ansible) and the use of Artificial Intelligence tools for problem-solving.
- Thorough knowledge of IT Service Management processes, specifically Change and Incident Management according to the ITIL v4 framework.
- Mastery of protocol analysis and packet capture tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump for Level 3 troubleshooting (header analysis, TCP handshake, etc.).
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
