Short Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Disability Management and Workplace Injuries, Bell is seeking an experienced Consultant to manage workplace injury files or claims. This key role involves the administrative and medical management of claims, facilitating employees’ safe return to work, and coordinating accommodations. You will be responsible for gathering information from employees, professionals, and other stakeholders, representing the employer throughout all appeal stages, and collaborating with internal and external teams (human resources, labour relations, legal, health & safety) to find solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Full management of workplace injuries files or claims
- Analysis of information and data collection through communications with employees, managers, workers' compensation boards, and other external stakeholders
- Determination of the need for medical assessments (e.g., scheduling independent medical examinations, preparing mandates) and representation of the employer throughout all appeal processes
- Support employees and managers, including the coordination of return-to-work and accommodation measures via cross-team collaboration, to identify and implement safe return-to-work solutions
- Participation in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, and improving operational efficiency
Critical Qualifications
- CEGEP diploma or university degree (Industrial relations, human resources, health‑related field, or related discipline), relevant work experience accepted in place of a diploma
- 2 to 5 years of experience managing workplace injury claims
- Strong judgment, discretion, organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of relevant provincial laws and regulations (an asset)
- Knowledge of SIGMA‑HR, SAP, and ServiceNow software (an asset)
- Knowledge and use of artificial intelligence tools (an asset)
- In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada and produce documents in French and English
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
