Description

The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with the Astral and Bell Media brand image, and for developing creative ideas and concepts for clients. He or she is knowledgeable about print and digital media production.

 

Accountabilities

  • Provide support for the company’s various creative projects
  • Work closely with Sales to equip them with powerful tools, by way of mock ups and presentation documents
  • Ensure adherence to branding standards and their application to all graphic design elements
  • Assist with creative brainstorming activities, concepts and mock ups
  • Help Production by verifying, preparing and sending client material
  • Create templates and technical specifications for the various products offered
  • Provide the graphic design for various formats of advertising signage (print and digital) for local and national clients
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations

 

Critical Qualifications / Competencies

  • At least two years’ experience in similar roles
  • College diploma or equivalent training in graphic design
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Double Click Studio, Adobe After Effects, WordPress, an asset
  • Priority management skills
  • Discipline, attention to detail, flexibility
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Initiative, resourcefulness and a strong sense of organization
  • A creative mind and innate sense of aesthetic quality are essential
  • Aptitude for extrapolating ideas and elements from existing material to create new, complementary elements
  • Excellent ability to develop proposed concepts and ideas
  • Ability to work as well on a team as alone
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English

 

A portfolio may be requested at the interview.

 

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
