Summary
Bell Business Markets Finance is seeking a Finance Manager, to support the financial evaluation, governance, and approval of customer deals, internal initiatives and other ad-hoc projects. This role partners closely with Sales, Pricing, Legal, and Business Decision Support to assess risk, profitability, and compliance for the various projects. The successful candidate will contribute to informed decision‑making and support profitable growth across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Manager to lead risk and profitability analysis through the development of financial business cases for major sales bids, internal projects and complex customer solutions.
- Independently manage financial analysis for smaller or less complex opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Project teams to communicate financial insights and implement recommendations that support profitable deal structures.
- Work with Business Decision Support (BDS) and Pricing teams to ensure accurate costing and pricing of products and solutions.
- Partner with Legal and Accounting to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate policies related to capital, financing, and revenue recognition.
- Manage contract and bid audit activities.
- Lead complex deal evaluation governance, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency, rigour, and integrity in business case development.
Critical Qualifications
- MBA or Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in finance or accounting.
- Professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CFA) considered an asset.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and profitability assessment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective partnerships across Finance and Sales organizations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance commercial and financial priorities.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, interpret ambiguous information, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of telecommunications or technology environments, particularly Broadband/IP and systems integration.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Alteryx, Copilot and other AI powered tools.
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
