General description :

Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Public Relations, the publicist is responsible for developing and implementing media relations strategy for Bell Media’s TV channels and radio stations.

 

Main Responsibilities :

Media Relations :

  • Organize media events (screenings, set visits, programming launches, regional tours, etc.)
  • Plan, propose and organize interviews with stars
  • Distribute press releases, weekly and monthly programming highlights and other information relating to various brands and productions to the media
  • Respond to requests for information or material from journalists (sending photos, Vimeo links, etc.)
  • Conduct press reviews and monitor online news
  • Develop and update media contacts and associated distribution lists
  • Prepare reports on media relations activities

 

Key Required Competencies :

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Able to use Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec media
  • Media relations experience in the field of culture, radio or TV is an asset
  • Excellent capacity to manage priorities and handle stress
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Proactive, flexible and dynamic

 

Work Conditions:

  • Job status: Temporary Full-Time (1-year Mat Leave Term)
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime schedule (Availability to work outside of the regular business hours can be required)

 

Bilingualism is required (English and French)
