Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Public Sector Sales within Bell Business Markets, this represents a leadership opportunity for a Director Sales, to drive revenue growth within the Ontario Public Sector. The role focuses on strategic engagement with large segment clients, requiring a blend of sales acumen and sector-specific understanding. The selected candidate will lead sales initiatives, cultivate client relationships, and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the Ontario public sector
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy specifically designed for the Ontario Public Sector, targeting strategic and large segment clients
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the Ontario Public Sector
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Ontario Public Sector, expanding market presence and achieving revenue targets
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure individual and team success
  • Change Management & Engagement: Drive change management initiatives, internal communications, and employee engagement programs
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking progress, forecasting revenue, and ensuring accurate reporting
  • Industry Trend Monitoring: stay informed about Ontario Public Sector procurement processes, regulations, and industry trends and recommend strategic adjustments to maintain a competitive edge
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the value proposition
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Critical Qualifications

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, providing a foundational understanding of relevant principles
  • Demonstrated experience of at least ten years in sales, with a specific focus on the Ontario Public Sector, exhibiting a deep understanding of its unique dynamics
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Public Sector procurement processes, regulations, and key stakeholders, enabling effective navigation of the sales cycle
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth, illustrating a history of success
  • Exceptional strategic leadership skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring direction
  • Experience driving innovation and selling services such as fibre networks, communication and digital tech services, cyber security, Cloud, AI and Sovereign capabilities
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics 365), and sales analytics tools, enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers, fostering collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiate contracts with large segment clients, ensuring favorable outcomes and compliance

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
