On the Bell Business Markets team, you’ll be a vital part of making innovation happen for enterprise-scale customers. You’ll deliver advanced solutions in areas such as IoT, Mobility/5G, Cloud, Cyber Security, Voice, Collaboration & Contact Centre and Internet & Private Networks.

Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Public Sector Sales within Bell Business Markets, you will be accountable to lead sales & vendor partner relationships. The selected individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and managing a team of sales professionals focused on the federal market. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of the federal procurement process for the defence and security vertical, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in government sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the Defence and Security vertical within the federal public sector
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and support to maximize their performance
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within federal government agencies
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal market, expanding our customer base and market share
- Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities and results.
- Change Management & Engagement: Drive change management initiatives, internal communications, and employee engagement programs.
- Industry Trend Monitoring: stay informed about federal government procurement processes, regulations, and industry trends and recommend strategic adjustments to maintain a competitive edge
- Prepare and present compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective federal clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with federal government agencies, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Critical Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field, providing a foundational understanding of relevant principles.
- A minimum of ten plus years of experience in direct sales or in depth knowledge of the Defence and security vertical within the federal public sector
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of knowledge in customer service, sales, and marketing is an important part of the job
- Extensive knowledge of federal government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and regulations is critical for success
- Experience driving innovation and selling services such as fibre networks, communication and digital tech services, cyber security, Cloud, AI and Sovereign capabilities
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth within the federal market is expected
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are extremely important to perform well in this role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends is a critical part of the job
- Proficiency in using customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce, to manage sales activities and customer interactions is needed
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within federal government agencies is needed
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
