Summary
We are currently an energetic and reliable team player to join our Operations team in Ottawa as General Labourer, Summer Student.
Hours of work are 7:30am to 3:30pm.
This is a summer student position with an end date of August 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing operational support as directed i.e. cutting grass, trees, painting transit shelters, general maintenance, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Carry a step ladder
- Operate lawn mower
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Must own a pair of steel toed safety boots
- Other duties as required
Critical Qualifications
- Grade 12 or Post secondary student
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Team attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work on a step ladder
- Moderate to heavy lifting involved
- Organized individual who can work with minimal supervision
- Geographic knowledge of Ottawa

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Total earning range: $18.17- $18.49. The advertised salary range is based on the wage scales and classifications outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The specific hourly rate within the negotiated range will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
