Position description:
We are seeking a candidate with .NET development skills to work with our various customers. The candidate must have extensive experience with programming and analysis in the Microsoft environment. The incumbent will be called on to work on different teams in a development and solution integration capacity. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Development, the incumbent, as a technical specialist, will be responsible for contributing to the design, development and implementation of various solutions for customers. The chosen candidate will integrate a team of developers and must have a thorough grasp of the management role in customer relations.
 
Job duties and accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement Web applications
  • Implement proof of concepts covering every step in the development cycle: planning, design, programming, documentation and testing
  • Understand the development needs
  • Design and execute innovative solutions
  • Identify deficient systems and recommend solutions

 
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or DCS in computer science or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft technology, including in particular .NET, C#, Visual Studio, TFS, MVC, TDD, ASP.NET, VB6, SQL Server and Access
  • Understanding of cloud computing environments such as Azure
  • Experience in designing and implementing reporting solutions in a Web environment
  • Excellent knowledge of customer service standards and best practices
  • Strong communication skills in French
  • Conscientiousness in managing the customer relationship
  • Self-starter, resourceful and able to make decisions
  • Good team spirit
  • Good adaptability

 
Preferred qualifications/competencies:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in computer science
  • 3 years of experience with Visual Studio, .NET (ASP.NET, C# and/or VB.Net)
  • 2 years of experience in Web application development
  • Familiarity with the AGILE methodology, macroscope
  • Experience in customer service

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
