The main responsibility of the Account Manager – National Sales, who reports to the Sales Director, is to represent Bell Media’s specialized French-language television products and RDS and to develop sales opportunities in the Toronto market for the province of Québec. This includes (but is not limited to) the following:

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales development:
  • Selling various television products based on available products and internal policies
  • Prospecting for new clients
  • Carrying out business development and follow-up of Bell Media’s commercial agreements
  • Preparing comprehensive, innovative sales proposals
  • Participating in 360 media creativity projects with all Bell Media platforms
  • Preparing various reports, including projections, pacing, pitched/booked status, and the client’s buying history.
  • Developing a detailed annual business plan to achieve the objectives for your sales territory
  • Gathering research and marketing data in order to produce a creative presentation
  • Demonstrating and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with key clients/agencies
  • Participating in industry activities related to the position
  • Supporting the team during demanding sales periods (upfront, calendar negotiations)
  • Effectively liaising with various departments, such as traffic, research and marketing

 

Critical Qualifications & Competencies

  • A university degree in communications, marketing, administration or any other related field
  • At least five years of experience in sales or equivalent
  • Experience in media sales, an asset
  • Knowledge of professional sports, an asset
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a healthy team dynamic
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to give presentations to experienced, high-level audiences
  • Ability and motivation to meet and exceed sales objectives
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Dedication and commitment – willing to surpass requirements

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
