Position: Accounting Clerk 1, Bell Media
Location: 9 Channel Nine Court, Toronto (Ontario)
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 37,5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Management
- Assign new accounts to collection staff
- Request corporate searches, credit reports and other additional credit information for all new accounts
- Checking the accuracy of the information on the credit application to ensure that all fields are completed
- Ensure database records are kept current for all adjudicated accounts
- Retention of credit files and maintaining a shared folder with all new clients and any amendments
Credit Card & Prepayment Schedules
- Create or confirm credit card / prepayment schedules to Credit Analyst for approval & submission to AR team
- Follow-up to ensure client and Credit Analyst approval complete before campaign start date or date of first payment
Other Duties
- Manage the requests received via the Credit & Collection inbox and disseminate the information based on responsibility/role
- Deal with customer requests and concerns including invoice copies, payments, credits, statements of accounts etc
- Manage various client resource centre systems ( i.e.: upload and create statements for Credit Analysts, provide invoice copies etc… )
- Respond to agency/advertiser inquiries in a professional and timely manner eg. statement request, Sales Rep Inquires etc.
- Process adjustments for cheque and/or credit card refunds. Upload cheque refund requests to APSS/GL Coding
Critical Competencies:
- 2-3 years of business experience
- Highly organized and results driven
- Able to thrive in a fast paced environment; able to multitask
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels both internally and externally
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer programs/software
- Media experience an asset
- Accounting experience an asset
- Post-secondary education
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Bilingual ( English and French )
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
