Bilingual Collections Specialist, AlarmForce

The Bilingual Collections Specialist is responsible for ensuring that defaults are acted on in a timely and effective manner in English and French, resulting in low Early Default, high Save Rates, and minimal losses as well as for making sure receivables are collected while maintaining strong customer relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts list for payment commitments
  • Compile and submit information regarding problem accounts to the Collections Team Leader
  • Provide support to the Collections Team leader when necessary
  • Adhere to all of the collection laws for the Province you are contacting
  • Analyze the data from the accounts receivable report
  • Identify account issues and suggest resolution
  • Provide accurate account updates for each call made or received (correctly disposition each call)
  • Make arrangements for payment
  • Answer general billing related questions and resolve billing issues in English and French

Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in a collections call centre, preferred
  • 1 year of experience using a CRM, an asset
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Undergraduate Degree, beneficial
  • On-the-job experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word Etc.), preferred
  • Previous experience in providing superb customer service

Competency Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English / French)
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
  • Outgoing and empathetic to customers
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Great communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced office environment
  • Credit knowledge is an asset
  • Experience with CRM’s considered an asset

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends
  • Must be available to work from our Toronto location

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
