Summary

We are seeking a Cloud & AI Architect who will enable the design, presentation, and support the delivery of advanced cloud and AI solutions for public sector clients. This role focuses on guiding customers through their digital transformation journey, bridging modern application architecture needs with the supporting data center and cloud infrastructure.

 

The Architect will enable clients to migrate from legacy systems to modern platforms, creating opportunities for cost savings and improved citizen engagement. Collaboration with sales, delivery, and technical teams is essential to define solution roadmaps, demonstrate business value, and ensure alignment with client objectives.With a strong understanding of customer application stacks and leading modern cloud solutions, the Cloud & AI Architect will develop transformation strategies that help the Canadian public sector save resources while delivering exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and presentation of end-to-end cloud and AI solutions for enterprise clients, with a strong emphasis on migration from legacy systems to modern platforms, including Bell’s Sovereign AI Fabric infrastructure.
  • Assess and understand client application environments, developing transformation strategies to modern, scalable, cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and craft compelling solution proposals focused on business needs and mandates for Canadian citizen service delivery.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, scalability, and performance standards.
  • Develop architecture documentation, migration plans, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud, AI, and infrastructure technologies; recommend adoption strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project and sales teams.
  • Collaboration and consensus building with solution delivery stakeholders across different parts of the organization. (Bell, BellCyber, AI Fabric, Ateko)
  • Support pre-sales activities, including demos, workshops, and RFP responses.
  • Proactively addresses complex challenges with immediate and effective action.
  • Analyzes problems comprehensively, incorporating new information and perspectives to develop innovative solutions.
  • Tailors communication style and content to resonate with diverse audiences and achieve optimal understanding.
  • Quickly masters new situations, demonstrating skillful responsiveness to evolving demands.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution design, or enterprise IT.
  • Experience with cloud migration, legacy application transformation or AI solution development
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) and SaaS solutions (ServiceNow, Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with AI infrastructure platforms and Language Models (Groq, Buzz, Cohere).
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms (SAP, Mainframe, Oracle) and legacy architectures.
  • Expertise in legacy application architectures and methodologies for architecting migration roadmaps to cloud-native solutions.
  • Understanding databases and application architectures and how they fit in cloud and datacenter architectures
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration, agile development and DevOps/CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (provincial/federal privacy laws, SOC 2, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, ServiceNow, AI Architecture certifications, TOGAF) preferred.
  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Québec and preferred for positions in Ottawa
  • Secret Clearance is an asset

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
