Summary
The successful candidate will gain:
- Technical knowledge on IP/MPLS network technologies and Bell Canada IP/MPLS networks
- Exposure and hand-on experience on leading-edge networking technologies
- Satisfaction of delivering multiple projects
Key Responsibilities
- IP/MPLS network technology verification/certification programs in support of new technology introduction and product development
- Support the INOC (IP Network Operation Center) on network changes and troubleshooting
- Work with INOC and other support teams to resolve network outage and service impacting situations
- Prepare MOP and support network change management activities during change windows
- Develop tool to automate network monitoring, troubleshooting and recovery
Critical Qualifications
- University degree in engineering or computer sciences.
- 3+ years experience in network engineering
- Sound knowledge on networking (TCP/IP, routing protocols and principles)
- Sound knowledge on Bell Canada networks and network services
- Strong technical background with excellent knowledge of in telecommunications systems and networks
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- High tolerance to ambiguity and ability to adapt in a fast-evolving environment
- Strong leadership abilities and business acumen
- Strong dedication to customer focus
- Excellent synthesis and analysis capacity
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates of industry recognized technical certifications/designations will be preferred such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE)
