Summary
The Product Owner (PO) owns their team’s product/sprint backlog and is the single point of contact to the development team for user story details for the Bell Parter Platform and Unified Pricing Manager. We are looking for someone who is proficient with priority scheduling and making data-driven decisions. You will manage the day-to-day tasks for the development team and coordinate projects with the Product and Program Managers. You will ensure that projects are estimated accurately and delivered on time. You will participate in Agile ceremonies and commit to collaborative problem solving and quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and deliverables
- Drive and lead discussions with both business and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of objectives
- Maintain, review and prioritize the team’s backlog for iteration/sprint planning, including user stories for new product enhancements as well as defects and performance user stories
- Lead Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinements & business demonstrations to optimize team collaboration and performance
- Participate in IT development discussions, contributing to technical feasibility assessments and decision-making
- Monitor progress, identify roadblocks, and proactively resolve issues to maintain project momentum
- Act as a subject-matter expert for the product, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs
- Contribute to the development of quality test plans and participate in testing processes
- Provide regular status updates to Project Team and Senior Management
- Problem identification, customer account corrections
Critical Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant product owner or product management experience in an Agile software product development environment
- Product owner/ Product manager certification (POPM) preferred
- Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences
- Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools
- Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with leadership, technical and non-technical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence
- Undergraduate Degree – Business, Commerce, Engineering or comparable
- Experience presenting to, and influencing, executive decision makers
- Organization, coordination and strong time management skills to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, energetic, and a has a winning mind-set
- Ability to manage tolerance to ambiguity, flexibility, and deal effectively with adversity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
- Results-driven attitude with the ability to grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of BRS ordering and billing systems
- Telecommunications experience
- Experience in a Business Analysis role
Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
