Summary
The successful candidate will actively participate in the development of the financial plan, monitor performance, and analyze & report on key drivers of the financial results for a set of operational groups within the Network organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with client group to provide financial and analytical support in the delivery of financial targets.
- Responsible for accurate and timely month-end closure including working in collaboration with Month end closing team.
- Analyze and present monthly results, providing explanations to key variances – linkage to drivers: load, headcount, cost etc.
- Participate in the preparation and consolidation of financial forecasts including requisite documentation.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Over the course of the year, provide financial evaluations and recommendations regarding any issues within the budget.
- Perform value added variance analysis as part of the reporting process.
- Through analysis and collaboration, influence the achievement of the financial objectives.
- Interface with other finance groups to address information requirements, business issues and roadblocks.
Critical Qualifications
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (notably advanced Excel).
- Knowledge of SAP, BPC and BI.
- Exceptional team orientation and collaborative skills.
- Strong sense of autonomy, dynamic.
- Comfortable in ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in Finance (2-3 years of relevant experience).
- Knowledge of the Network organization.
- Professional Accounting Designation or working towards certification
- In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
