Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Planning, Strategy & Special Projects to serve as a strategic force multiplier for the Bell Business Markets sales organization. This high-impact, high-visibility role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership of critical business initiatives. You will operate with a dual mandate: driving the strategic planning rhythm while leading major special projects to address our most pressing operational challenges. This position is ideal for a results-driven leader who excels at connecting strategy to execution, bringing structure to ambiguity, and fostering operational excellence across a complex, matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Lead the strategic planning cycles for the sales organization, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial targets.
- Prepare and manage materials for executive leadership reviews, including QBRs, SLT updates, and strategic forums.
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership, providing data-driven insights, thought partnership, and support on key decisions.
- Drive the "rhythm of the business" for the sales leadership team, managing critical programs from conception through execution, and ensuring follow-through on strategic commitments.
- Synthesize complex information from across the business to create clear, concise strategic narratives and presentations for the SLT.
Special Project Leadership (Initial Focus: Revenue Assurance):
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the Revenue Assurance special project, ensuring all earned revenue is captured accurately and efficiently.
- Design and re-engineer the end-to-end opportunity-to-revenue process for our partner channel business, meticulously mapping the current state to eliminate bottlenecks and delays.
- Develop robust tracking mechanisms, dashboards, and analytics to provide real-time visibility into the opportunity-to-revenue pipeline, forecasting revenue realization timing and flagging at-risk deals.
- Establish and lead a cross-functional governance committee with Sales, Finance, Billing, and other key stakeholders to resolve process gaps and systemic issues.
- Monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project, including Order-to-Cash (O2C) cycle time, billing error rate, and time-to-revenue recognition
Cross-Functional Program Management & Influence:
- Partner closely with leaders across the organization, to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.
Critical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in roles such as management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or a Chief of Staff role within a large enterprise. Experience in Sales Operations or Revenue Operations (RevOps) is a significant asset.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, drive results in a complex matrixed organization, and operate with a high degree of autonomy and executive presence.
- Strong business and strategic acumen, with the ability to see the big picture, understand market dynamics, and connect operational details to overarching business goals.
- Superior communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with demonstrated experience crafting materials for and presenting to senior executives.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex processes, interpret financial data, and synthesize disparate information into a clear strategic narrative.
- Expertise in process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). A mindset geared towards continuous improvement is essential.
- Advanced proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and a strong understanding of how they integrate with ERP and billing systems
- Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel is mandatory.
