The Opportunity & Deal Management Specialist will be a cornerstone of our new Revenue Management team, dedicated to enhancing forecast accuracy and driving revenue predictability. This role is focused on ensuring the integrity of our sales data within Salesforce and managing the lifecycle of our most critical deals. Initially a hands-on role involving manual data hygiene and process management, it will evolve into a strategic advisory position, leveraging automated systems to provide insights on high-value opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- CRM Data Governance: Meticulously manage and maintain data hygiene within Salesforce, with a sharp focus on large, material deals to ensure accurate revenue timing and forecasting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Delivery teams to understand and map key milestones for opportunity management and revenue recognition.
- Revenue Slippage Mitigation: Proactively monitor the deal pipeline to identify, log, and flag potential revenue delays or pushouts, enabling sales teams to take early, corrective action.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to establishing and refining the team's operating cadence and processes to reduce revenue slippage and improve forecast reliability. Create a CMO and FMO library of processes to identify gaps/waste for continuous improvement.
- Strategic Advisory: As automation matures, shift focus from manual data cleaning to analyzing system-generated alerts and advising sales leadership on high-risk or high-opportunity deals.
Critical Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Sales Operations, Deal Desk, or a similar role within a B2B sales environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, particularly in managing opportunity pipelines and data is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and anomalies in data.
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- End to End process flow mapping is a plus (i.e Visio tool).
