The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace.  The team provides customers with amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and Bell Home phone, local and long distance services.

 

The Base Marketing Team develops strategy and manages the implementation of marketing campaigns to deliver against revenue and subscriber targets for the BRS Internet, Home Phone and Television portfolios.The successful candidate will report to the Manager, TV Base Marketing, and will work cross-functionally with partners throughout the Residential Services organization including: Product Development, Marketing Communications, Take to Market/Channel, Integrated Marketing Scientifics (IMS), Programming and Media Affiliates.We are looking for a strategic thinker who works well in a fast paced environment, is well versed in the principles of marketing, passionate about learning, and possesses strong interpersonal, analytical, and negotiating skills.

 

Position Description:

As the Specialist, TV Base Strategy and Analytics, you will be expected to manage a broad range of projects simultaneously to drive increased revenue and subscriber engagement.You will be responsible for recommending strategy and conducting in depth analyses to monitor and determine future opportunity and priorities within the TV base across all platforms including Satellite TV, Fibe TV and with priority on the new ALT TV.The right candidate must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, as well as analyzing portfolio results to develop marketing strategies and make recommendations to the senior executive team.We are looking for energetic people, passionate about movies and television content, who bring with them creative and analytical thinking, and the ability to adapt rapidly to change.

 

Job Duties/Accountabilities :

  • Develop, recommend and implement new marketing strategies to attain and exceed subscriber revenue objectives
  • Monitor weekly and monthly results, conduct deep dive analyses, and assist in quarterly revenue expectation plans
  • Complete program specific analyses to recommend upsell and optimization opportunities within customer segmentation, packaging, pricing and offers
  • Campaign Execution: work cross-functionally with Offer and Pricing, IMS, Channel Take-to-Market, Programming, Affiliate partners and Marketing Communications teams to bring campaigns to market
  • Create compelling and strategic marketing presentations to obtain buy-in and alignment across key campaign stakeholders
  • Monitor, analyze, and report weekly results while monitoring the overall performance of the portfolio
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive action from other players in the industry
  • Manage and motivate the team to contribute to the key priorities and objectives
  • Actively contribute to the overall marketing planning cycle

 

Critical Competencies:

  • University degree/MBA in Marketing and/or Business Administration
  • 2-3 years experience running marketing programs (preferably in large organizations)
  • Proven ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively
  • Advanced data analytic skills specifically with using MS Excel, Microstrategy, SAS, etc
  • Strong sense of autonomy and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills - the ability to build and foster teams, and deliver against a common objective
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Flexible and able to comfortably operate in an ever-evolving & changing market environment

 

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of players in the telecommunications competitive landscape
  • Previous experience with marketing strategy and communications
  • Comfortable in working in a virtual team environment
