Summary

Bell Media Vancouver is seeking a full-time, highly creative Sales representative to join our dynamic team located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The successful applicant must have experience building a portfolio of local advertisers and providing business owners with creative and effective advertising / marketing solutions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of local advertisers to meet or exceed sales targets for 2 radio stations, 103.5 QM/FM, and Virgin 94.5. Astral OOH, BELL Media Digital and CTV Vancouver
  • Provide business owners with creative, effective advertising and marketing solutions, acting as a resource to their business
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, strategic and solution-oriented proposals including appropriate research data
  • Provide quality service with a focus on client retention through regular and systematic contact with active and potential advertisers
  • Complete a minimum of five new business face-to-face calls per week
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings; liaise with and create trusted working relationships with co-workers including Creative, Traffic and Accounting
  • Facilitate the collection of overdue accounts
  • Other activities in support of station success

Critical Qualifications

  • Passion for superior quality customer service derived from ethic of “doing the right thing”
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with demonstrated success in negotiating and assisting clients
  • Well-versed in a consultative selling process
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of constant deadlines
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of five to seven years’ experience in radio/media sales.
  • Drivers’ licence, vehicle required

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
