Name and description of the hiring department:

The credit management team (medium and large Enterprise) has the responsibility of collecting past due accounts while protecting the revenues of the enterprise. Recovering past due amounts for all account types (voice, NM1, data and outright sales). Investigate unpaid accounts and take corrective actions with the customers

 

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Collect amounts due while preventing the loss of customers and revenues using various systems, technologies and systems
  • Negotiate, recommend and provide payment options in order to maintain or re-establish profitable customer revenues
  • Maintain and update customer account information in order to reflect the true value of bad debts and customer accounts receivable
  • Identify causes of problems and formulate action plans to minimize revenue loss in cases such as fraud, corporate bankruptcy, disputes and non-payment 
  • Take immediate appropriate action to minimize potential revenue losses and assure continuity of customer service    
  • Resolve problems using creative means to secure payment from client
  • Show good judgement in the face of various client financial situations 

  

Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Understanding of the accounts receivable function
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel 
  • Bilingualism, English and French (read, written, spoken)

 

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Knowledge of collections and billing platforms (NM1, NIBS, Caprice, BCT, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent negotiation and collections skills
  • Experience dealing with difficult or unsatisfied customers by telephone or email
  • Self-starter
  • Good understanding of Bell products for the to business customers    
  • Good sense of organization and ability to manage time and priorities
  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude

  • Ability to handle stress and face ambiguity

Working Conditions:

  • Complex work in a call centre environment, which demands a lot of autonomy and must be completed within tight timelines
  • Hours from Monday to Friday 8:30 to 16:30 (8:00 to 16:00 according to business needs)  

 

Bilingualism is required (English and French)
