Information on Division/Hiring Department/Career Opportunity:
This is a full time summer position, terminating August 30, 2019. The position is within the RF Engineering and Network Performance team. 
The successful candidate will report to the Manager – Regional RAN Performance, and will be responsible for supporting the existing full time staff of engineering professionals responsible for the optimization and performance improvement of wireless networks. The selected candidate will work closely with various teams within Wireless Network Operations at Bell Mobility.  

 

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist Engineering staff in evaluating and implement solutions to improve network quality and performance
  • Work towards improving our user experience, Network Kpis (Reliability, throughput, time on Carrier aggregation, MIMO) and consolidate our Best Network position.
  • Use Bell Mobility Field test equipment to collect and post process network data
  • Support the performance of multiple special events during summer time
  • Assist in automation functions for repetitive tasks
  • Create standard works and contribute to process improvement
  • Produce required technical documentation

 

Other Important competencies/skills: 

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Innovative and open minded to new techniques and technologies.
  • Capacity and confidence to make decisions take responsibility and work autonomously.
  • Ability to work on a fast paced team in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Programming language (ex. Python)
     

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
