Bell Media has an opportunity for an energetic and dynamic radio professional to take the next step in their career as our Morning Show Host and Assistant Program Director for 105.7 SunFM in Vernon, BC.  Reporting to the Regional Program Director, this role will be responsible as the on-air Morning Show Host as well as providing strategic leadership in Programming and Promotions for the Vernon area. Specific responsibilities will include:




  • Host a live on-air Morning Show Monday to Friday
  • Cover air shifts both live and voice tracked as required
  • Weekend Broadcasts and Remotes as required
  • Work in conjunction with Regional Program Director to execute branding and programming strategies for the Vernon area
  • Oversee business and programming operations
  • Creation and Coordination of Promotion Packages in conjunction with the Regional Promotions Director and Regional Program Director
  • Lead and manage Programming, Operations and Promotions staff including hiring and performance management.
  • Lead and participate in local and regional management meetings
  • Music Scheduling and database maintenance
  • Drive a positive workplace culture in leading by example


Skill Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years on-air experience
  • Solid Leadership Skills that inspire and drive results
  • Music Master and Wide Orbit software experience a must
  • Experience with broadcast radio Promotions
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Technical familiarity with wired and unwired networks an asset
  • In depth radio automation knowledge and clock building ability
  • Functional knowledge of network requirements both from a sending and receiving function
  • Able to resolve technical issues through problem solving skills
  • Experience or familiarity with AC and CHR brands
  • The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in broadcasting, or related experience.
  • Management experience an asset
