Summary

This managerial position oversees the Street Furniture concession in Victoria, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and the successful construction rollout of digital and static advertisement assets. You will lead the planning and execution of installations, managing projects from inception to completion. The role requires a strong grasp of outdoor advertising operational processes and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities and clients. Ultimately, you are responsible for the performance and management of the concession's assets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Site Management:

Identifying optimal locations based on visibility, foot traffic and our partner needs.

Securing necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from local authorities and property owners.

Conducting site surveys to assess feasibility, power availability, network connectivity, and structural requirements.

 

Project Management & Installation Oversight:

Managing the project & budgets. Developing installation schedules and managing project timelines.

Coordinating and supervising installation teams (external contractors).

Ensuring installations adhere to technical specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Managing procurement and inventory of digital hardware (screens, media players, mounting hardware, cabling)

Communicate with different internal and external partners on the objectives, deliverables and achievements

 

Operations & maintenance management

Managing relationships with hardware suppliers, software providers, installation & cleaning crews and maintenance services

Process the data entry and dispatch of the workload (Maintenance & Cleaning)

Developing and maintaining comprehensive data dashboards and reports to monitor key operational and CAPEX performance indicators (KPIs).

Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership

Managing budgets related to installation, ongoing maintenance, energy costs, and repairs

Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, advertising, and local ordinances.

Execute administrative & financial tasks to support the Victoria street furniture concession included but not limited to: 

    • Account Payable management (entering invoices in the system, coding and approving vendors invoices.  
    • Maintain the inventory in the systems, ordering and tracking entry in the inventory

Critical Qualifications

  • Demonstrate leadership and strong skills for communication & collaboration
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in project management related to operation and/or construction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing project management software (Smartsheet), and Astral operational internal tools (Quattro, Workforce and SAP)
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders, are fundamentally important.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial modeling, data manipulation, and report generation, is indispensable
  • Ability to work independently, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple projects concurrently, is essential.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
