Position: Promotions Coordinator, Bell Media, Non-mgmt

Location: 1420 Broad Street, Victoria BC

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

 

Role:

Bell Media is looking for a dynamic Promotions Coordinator to creatively contribute to the development and execution of promotions on Bell Media Victoria’s stations 107.3 KOOL FM, CFAX 1070 and CTV Vancouver Island.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing promotions and contests to consistently maximize ratings and revenue opportunities
  • Schedule and maintain station on-air promotion assets and inventory
  • Attend all major station promotions and/or client promotions as required or assigned
  • Contribute and monitor daily posts and engagement of station’s social media channels
  • Supervise part-time staff as required
  • Attend and participate in weekly meetings as required
  • Website and social media updates
  • Assemble promotional proposals for internal and external clients
  • Generate prize forms and prize packages
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Critical competencies:

  • Previous experience in media Promotions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s license required

 

Preferred Competencies:

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience with Photoshop and Web design is a bonus
  • Solid knowledge of social media platforms
  • Post-secondary education with marketing/media focus preferred

 

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
