40 hours per week. Schedule will be early mornings.

Acting in a key role in the newsroom for the new CTV Calgary Morning Show, this multi-talented, committed,
experienced, big picture thinker will report to the Director, News & Public Affairs and be responsible for:
• Anchoring the CTV Calgary morning news show
• Consulting with Producers, Anchors, Reporters, Assignment Editor, and other Newsroom staff to provide
 creative input to the production of story items.
• Generating strong story ideas.
• Producing and writing for the morning show.
• Driving the show.
• Representing CTV at community and charity events, and making various public appearances.
• Other duties as assigned, which may include interviewing or reporting live.


• 5 years experience anchoring a major market newscast.
• Post Secondary Education in Broadcasting, or Journalism.
• Knowledge of television production procedures, terminology and equipment capabilities.
• Experience with breaking news. Strong interviewing and “live” reporting skills.
• Ability to add lib.
• Exceptional organization, leadership, concentration and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision-making.
• Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
