Responsibilities:

The Project manager – commercial production, has for main tasks to coordinate the production of brand sell spots (for Le Réseau des sports), sold by the Sales team. He or she is in direct contact with the clients and makes sure communication goes well between the client, the rep, and the production team, in order to successfully deliver the spots within the approved delays.

Working for the producer, the project manager:

  • Ensures the execution, based on the advertising norms and procedures, of the brand sell and Media Creativity spots airing on RDS. Be familiar with the different stages of production (from brief to final delivery)
  • Ensures the centralization of information from the sales team (representatives), external clients and production teams (directors and independent producers)

 

Tasks related to production:

  • Ensures the full implementation of commercial and media creativity projects
  • Ensures the production of advertising material, promotional or thematic video / print / electronic / media required by the creativity and the sales department for the production of advertising on RDS
  • Ensures the quality of the advertising material (according to network standards and advertisers)
  • Prepares detailed briefs for the post production and if needed, assists editors (video and audio) by directing them in the work they have to perform
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with external customers (advertising agencies and advertisers, etc.), internal (Montreal account managers and Toronto and other sales offices) as well as internal and external suppliers (production-marketing-programming, production company, manufacturers, developers and business partners)

 

Administrative tasks: 

  • Creates production schedules, obtains materials for production (concept-script, etc.), attends the filming and recording sessions, check drafts, get approvals and monitor campaigns
  • Coordinates the usual details related to projects with internal teams: marketing / special projects, sales, legal (regulations, legal agreements), Finance
  • Coordinates the usual details related to projects with external teams: advertising standards or external producers (estimate), artists, artist agents, RACJ (registration of competition), LPC, Telecaster and / or ASC
  • Provides support to the producer in the management of shootings
  • Manages production budgets: meet budgets, tracking of billing, codified, ensure the standings, see approvals, update the statements, and this for each project
  • Works closely with the representatives, media  creativity team, production, promotion, internal and marketing of Bell Media
  • Manages the delivery of projects, including going to on-site activities if needed
  • Writes and prepares post modem campaigns for Media Creativity when required
  • Other related tasks

 

Essential competencies:

  • Relevant studies in the field of communication, production, marketing or other equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project manager in advertising or media creativity
  • Organizational skills: ability to manage multiple requests at once
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness: the ability to get information and advance current projects
  • Good stress management
  • Diplomacy, tact, patience and sociability: ease of interaction with customers both internal as external
  • Knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word)
