  • Working in collaboration with the news department editing openers and bumps with daily hard deadlines in a fasted paced changing environment.
  • Editing video and sound material on deadline for broadcast
  • Graphic support
  • Editing feature stories
  • The safe operation of all equipment, and formally reporting any malfunctions of equipment immediately
  • Other related duties as assigned



  • Post-Secondary Education in Television Broadcasting or 2 years of related industry experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in NLE platforms 
  • Demonstrated After Effects proficiency 
  • Proven experience in in a newsroom environment
  • Proven ability to use sound and pictures to help tell the story
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to work independently 
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands and pressures of on-air deadlines
  • Must be well versed in a variety of computer programs as well as having a familiarity with the Internet and social media; experience on iNews an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to react quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision making
  • Demo material of non-linear editing skills


Work Conditions: 

  • Job Status: Regular -Fulltime
  • Hours of work: 40 hours/week. Monday to Friday: 9H00AM to 7H00PM. Must be available for various shifts including early mornings, evenings & weekends. Overtime as required
  • Job Location: 216 First Avenue North, Saskatoon


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
