The role:

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the assignment editor to plan and manage content for CTV News Prince Albert and CTV News Saskatoon.



  • Editorial assistance and line-up development for CTV News Prince Albert with a specific focus on News at Noon;
  • Assistance with graphics, lives and other ‘value-added’ treatments for CTV News Saskatoon;
  • Assistance with breaking news production for CTV News Saskatoon;
  • Editing/Vetting content from Prince Albert and Saskatoon throughout the day for broadcast and digital platforms;
  • Communicating with CTV Saskatchewan digital team to ensure stories are represented with immediacy and impact;
  • Assisting with feature & special programming as assigned



  • Minimum two years of newsroom experience
  • A degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary journalism program and/or related news/sports experience;          
  • Excellent broadcast and print writing skills;
  • Strong presentation skills an asset;
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to work independently;
  • Solid editorial judgment;
  • Knowledge of iNews, linear editing software, and Polopoly an asset;
  • Experience with social media for news content promotion and audience interaction an asset;
  • Ability to work well in a deadline-driven team environment;

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
