The Bell Media Strategic Insights team is seeking a passionate individual with a unique analytical curiosity to uncover insights. The Analyst will be joining a media insights team servicing client executives in television and radio markets across Canada. The team is focused on client value creation through consultative insights, exceptional service and collaboration. The Analyst will work together with the Senior Manager and other analysts within the SI team to illuminate insights on categories, media consumption and Bell Media’s television and radio audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to ad hoc sales insights requests from client executives by understanding requirements, gathering and interpreting data and communicating in a clear, concise and insightful format
  • Be a category and market specialist to provide insights and actionable solutions
  • Update client toolkits with relevant post-ratings survey data for television and radio
  • Develop customized, concise and insightful sales presentations using all available research resources
  • Collaborate with other research analysts to generate business revenue generating ideas and create action plans to execute solutions
  • Assist the Senior Managers and Directors in developing and facilitating various deep dive analyses and special projects as required

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • Ability to interpret data and convert it into insightful stories is essential
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate is critical
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and takes initiative in executional elements of processes
  • Priority setting in a fast paced environment (strong organizational and time management skills)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • 1-3 years media or research industry experience desired
  • A proven ability to learn and utilize various audience measurement software
  • An overall familiarity with advertising research is preferred (television or radio)
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and web analytics a definite plus
