The Digital Content Producer leads the day-to-day management of a team of Digital Content Editors. Reporting to the Senior Digital Content Producer, the producer works closely with the editorial and development teams to ensure CTV News delivers a superior news experience to its audience and executes against the digital strategy.



  • Oversee multiple digital content lineups, delivering video content to all CTV News Digital platforms
  • Manage and lead major/special news events with support of broadcast, sales and engineering teams
  • Ensure all digital content supports the social media and mobile strategies
  • Act as consultant for CP24, BNN and CTV News local markets
  • Enforce CTV News editorial standards and policy
  • Oversee LIVE digital production
  • Provide a critical eye and guidance on copyright for all media
  • Evening and weekend work is a must    



  • Minimum 5 years of digital newsroom experience, preferred
  • Degree or certificate from a recognized journalism program, an asset
  • Exceptionally organized, self-motivated and creative
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment
  • Knowledge of broadcast and / or digital video editing software, preferably Harris systems
  • Knowledge of news management system, preferably iNews
  • Strong writing and copy editing skills
  • Proficient in Canadian Press style
  • Strong eye for visual storytelling
  • Ability to identify and master social media trends
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and knowledge of other Adobe products a plus
  • Ability to make independent editorial decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well individually and/or in a team
